CozyCabinOps is a product studio built around a familiar pattern: useful software starts by noticing the work that feels harder than it should.
Back in 2018, a small cluster of problem solvers found themselves repeatedly gravitating toward the biggest, messiest challenges in any room like logistics bottlenecks, tedious workflows, cost drains and manual tasks nobody wanted to touch. Untangling them wasn’t just satisfying — it was energizing. And when those problems finally clicked into place, when teams felt relief, when hours of work became minutes… that was worth paying attention to.
A year later marked the beginning of formal studies at the University of Toronto for one individual, at a time when the tech world still felt wide open to hungry junior developers. As those studies wrapped up, the puzzles grew larger and more complex. It was no longer just about improving workflows — it became about understanding and building the systems behind them:

And, above all, how to build a healthy, grounded relationship with the rise of AI.
A Different Kind of Origin
CozyCabinOps was also born from a very practical need: building a developer portfolio in a rapidly shifting industry.
As traditional hiring channels grew more opaque — LinkedIn becoming louder and more intimidating, fraudulent job postings more common, and applicant tracking systems increasingly powered by AI — many developers began to realize they needed new ways to demonstrate their skills. The usual paths no longer felt reliable. Or humane.
So instead of waiting to be discovered, the work began speaking for itself.
What started as internal demos and recruiter-facing projects evolved into something more tangible. Useful. Real. Shareable. The creations meant to prove capability quietly became opportunities in their own right.
